We are part of the change – The road to net zero

i-charging is driving the transition to a cleaner and greener future! With the rise in EV adoption, our innovative solutions for EV charging infrastructure are playing a major role.

The Net Zero Scenario charts a crucial path towards slashing transport emissions by a quarter by 2030, even amidst rising demand. Encouraging shifts to greener travel options like walking, cycling, and public transport, alongside embracing efficient technologies like electric vehicles, is paramount.

At i-charging, we’re driving this change with innovative solutions for EV charging infrastructure. Our commitment to sustainability aligns perfectly with reducing emissions to net zero, where any remaining emissions are absorbed by natural systems like oceans and forests.

The urgency is clear: limiting global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels is vital to avoid catastrophic climate impacts. Yet, with the Earth already 1.1°C warmer than in the late 1800s, swift action is imperative. To achieve the 1.5°C target outlined in the Paris Agreement, emissions must plummet by 45% by 2030, reaching net zero by 2050.

Transitioning to a net-zero world demands a seismic shift in how we produce, consume, and travel. Our role in decarbonizing road transport is pivotal. Electric vehicles (EVs) are central to this transformation, comprising over 15% of global energy-related emissions. With the rapid growth in EV sales and technological advancements, we’re witnessing a surge in popularity, with passenger electric cars projected to make up 18% of new car sales by 2023.

However, the adoption of EVs remains uneven globally, especially in developing economies, due to cost barriers and limited charging infrastructure. Here’s where i-charging steps in. Our advanced charging technology and energy optimization solutions are making EV charging more accessible and convenient for everyone.

At the end of 2022, there are 2.7 million public charging points worldwide, with China leading the charge. By 2030, the Net Zero Scenario anticipates a monumental increase, aiming for 17 million publicly available charging stations. At i-charging, we are playing our role, and we are proud to be part of the change towards a greener future. We are committed to staying ahead of the curve and are ready to meet the demands of the future.
