Position Summary

We are looking for a proactive and passionate Recyclability of the Product Intern to join our EH&S team and contribute to improving the environmental impact of our products. As part of the project of sustainability of product life cycle assessment, you will gain hands-on experience in analyzing and improving the recyclability of our products, working alongside experts in environmental management, product design, and supply chain. Your contributions will help ensure that our products meet sustainability goals and align with circular economy practices. This is a 12-month internship.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assess Product Recyclability: Research and assess the materials used in our products to evaluate their recyclability. Work on analysing whether materials are compatible with recycling processes and contribute to the product’s overall sustainability,
Product Lifecycle Analysis: Assist in analysing the entire lifecycle of products from design to disposal, identifying opportunities to enhance the recyclability or reuse of materials at the end of life,
Recyclability Reporting: Assist in tracking and reporting recyclability progress, including key metrics related to material waste reduction, recycling rates, and sustainability performance with special focus on packaging material from suppliers,
Packaging Sustainability: Evaluate and suggest improvements for the packaging materials used for our products, ensuring they align with recyclability and eco-friendly standards,
Industry Best Practices: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices related to product recyclability, sustainability, and circular economy principles,
Documentation & Compliance: Assist in documenting the recyclability evaluation process and ensuring compliance with environmental standards and certifications (e.g., ISO 14001, EcoDesign).

Interactions and Interfaces

Internally will interact with all the departments,
Externally with suppliers and any other entity related with the function,
Reports to EH&S specialist.

Skills and Competences

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field,
Knowledge of materials and their properties, with an understanding of recycling processes,
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint),
Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills,
Good communication and presentation skills, able to summarize findings clearly,
Detail-oriented with a proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving.
