Perth, Australia – The University of Western Australia (UWA) has reported exceptional performance results from the deployment of the blueberry PLUS charger, developed by i-charging and supplied through its partner in Australia and New Zealand, EV-NRG, at UWA’s Crawley campus.
The installed solution is a blueberry PLUS, offering up to 200 kW and two plugs, enabling efficient and ultra-fast charging to multiple electric vehicles throughout the day.
Over the past two years, the charger has operated under some of the most demanding environmental conditions — including full exposure to the intense Australian sun , and has delivered exceptional performance:
- More than 14,800 charging sessions completed
- 100% uptime achieved
- 39% utilisation rate recorded
- Over 461 MWh of energy dispensed
UWA’s experience demonstrates the ability of the blueberry family to maintain high performance under continuous and demanding usage conditions.

Following the success of the blueberry PLUS, the University installed a second 50 kW unit on campus to keep up with the growing demand of electric vehicles in the area
