i-charging just delivered a new batch of blueberry PLUS, in Szeged, Hungary, that are now ready to charge the new BYD’s fully electric buses. These blueberry PLUS chargers, which are able to charge two buses each with dynamic power sharing, have a new configuration for the cable, which is 7m long and has the optional feature of having the Cable Management System (CMS) disabled.
blueberry is the first fast charger to hit the market globally with power between 50 kW and 600 kW, featuring three possible configurations: blueberry, blueberry PLUS and blueberry CLUSTER. This solution allows charging all vehicles currently in the market, as well as those that will be launched by brands in the future with batteries up to 1000 V, with whatever plug they use, whether CCS, CHAdeMO, GB/T, and NACS coming soon.
The blueberry range is based on i-charging’s technology, allowing sequential and simultaneous charging, as well as an unlimited number of outputs through the dynamic allocation of energy to each output.
The eight brand new BYD buses, manufactured for local public transport, save Szeged from 526 tons of carbon dioxide annually, which corresponds to the carbon dioxide sequestration capacity of 7,680 leafy trees – shared László Lázár, the communications manager of the HUMDA Hungarian Mobility Development Agency.
This project is an important step for i-charging’s commitment to accelerate the transition to electric mobility, through groundbreaking technology, focusing on energy optimization and a new experience, that will improve our future.
